The philanthropic mission of KWA is to give back to our community and make it a better place to live and work. To support our mission in 2010, we formed the KWA Charity Committee comprised of a board of rotating staff members, and in 2019 we introduced paid volunteer time off. We are proud to have a team that values the importance of helping others. Through various fundraising efforts and donating volunteer time, we have been able to support many amazing Cleveland charitable organizations. Some of these charities are:
- A Special Wish Foundation Cleveland Chapter – Grant wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses.
- Preston’s H.O.P.E. – A fully accessible playground for children with disabilities.
- Cleveland City Mission – provide help and hope to Cleveland’s hurting and homeless by meeting basic human needs of food, shelter, and caring.
- Secondhand Mutts – A dog rescue facility that successfully matches owners with pets through their popular Foster-to-Adopt and Mutt-Match programs.
- Lakeside Emergency Men’s Shelter – Focuses on Housing & Shelter, Workforce Development, and Health & Wellness Services.
- Project Love – A school-based, character-development initiative involving hands-on programming in middle and high schools in eight Northeast Ohio counties.
- Beds for Kids – Empowers families with children by delivering beds and other essential furniture items to powerfully supplement the family’s resources as they rise out of poverty and into self-sufficiency.
- Girls with Sole – Use free fitness and wellness programs to empower the minds, bodies and souls of girls who are at-risk or have experienced abuse of any kind.
- Art Therapy Studio – Enhance the quality of life for those with physical, cognitive, or emotional challenges through the therapeutic use of art.
